I feel my previous “About Me” was rather lacking.
My name is RE Casper. Born and raised in the heartland, but nomadic by nature. Starting my photographic obsession in Chicago, I am relocating my lens to the San Francisco Bay. Hello sunny skies!
Playing the role of artist for the last 15 years, I’ve created and sold artwork from graphite, ink and oil, filled the role of Freelance Graphic Designer for over 10 years and acted as Art Director of Camoclad Industries for over 3 years.
It’s been a winding road, but I’ve always found myself returning to photography. In recent times, I’ve shot promotional imagery for “The Pavement Group” of Chicago, where my work was published across Chicago Pride and chicagotheater.com. I have also carried out a 7 piece showing from Nov ’11-March ’12 at Caribou on 10 S LaSalle in downtown Chicago. Please also check out the First Annual 2012 Plus One Collection, produced by Ivan Makarov. Through his project, I joined with over 500 photographers worldwide to form a photo collection organized through Google+. I am proud to say, this being my first collection publishing, I am glad it was for a charity benefiting the KIVA foundation.
Through our memories, our work and the mark we leave on others… I feel we can live forever. My art has always flowed through this outlook.
